VISIT TO CADARACHE
The technical visit to CEA CADARACHE centre (included in conference registration fees) is now confirmed and will be held on Thursday, June 11th 2009.
This post conference tour will concern the visit of four main facilities dedicated to research and development activities closely linked to instrumentation and measurement fields:
- EOLE & MINERVE Zero Power Reactors for neutronics studies.
- LECA/STAR: a hot laboratory specifically designed for studies and examinations of irradiated fuels,
- TORE-SUPRA: one of the largest tokamak in the world devoted to the study of physics and technology for plasma discharge.
- CHICADE: a facility dedicated to R&D and experimentation on radioactive wastes (nuclear destructive & non destructive measurement activities)
Each participant has to choose between one of those two facility groups to visit:
- Groupe 1: [EOLE&MINERVE, LECA/STAR]
- Groupe 2: [CHICADE, TORE-SUPRA]
Moreover, the two most important CADARACHE running projects will be visited by all participants:
