- CHICADE
Chicade facility is located inside the Cadarache Nuclear Center, near Aix-en-Provence, in the South of France. It covers approximately 5000 m2 of laboratories and halls devoted to R&D and experimentation on nuclear wastes, types A and B, both real and simulated, with an activity that can reach reach 15 TBq. The emphasis is given on the development of both destructive and non destructive methods for R&D waste characterization. A laboratory is being created this year on chemical and radiochemical analyses on liquid and solid wastes.
